Experimenting with bronze at Make Eindhoven

This month I visited MAKE in Eindhoven to prepare several experiments from my Forms of Growth project for bronze casting.As part of my artistic research, I want to explore what a different material can bring to my work. What changes when forms that I have primarily explored in clay are translated into bronze? What new possibilities and discoveries might emerge?Working with wax is very different from working with clay and requires a different way of thinking and making. Creating the sprues and air vents for the casting process is also a precise and time-consuming task.Yesterday, I prepared these channels. The next step is to invest the wax models in plaster, in preparation for casting.An exciting new chapter in my exploration of growth, form and material.
